We finally regained our footing after the impact of Covid.

MEMBERS ONLY EVENT – April 12 – The Erie County Historical Society invited members to a special lecture marking the 80th anniversary of President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s death, featuring historian Jim Miller. Miller explored Roosevelt’s final months, the nation’s reaction to his passing, and the transition of leadership at a pivotal moment in World War II. The discussion highlighted FDR’s lasting impact on the home front and the war effort, providing a deeper understanding of this significant chapter in American history.

May 9 – A Members Only event at the Milan Museum. The Milan Museum launches a new event series – Mixology 4 Members and the Erie Co. Historical Society is pleased to be a part of that. This is an evening of art, history and cocktails in the beautiful Galpin Glass Galleries and offers the perfect chance to sip a signature drink and explore the galleries. Experience a unique look into our region’s rich history. The signature cocktail for the evening will be “Stunning Glass.”

September 25 – The Goodtime Sunset Cruise which included Johnson’s Island, Cedar Point and the Sandusky waterfront. Our order for the perfect sunset was delivered on time. the speakers were knowledgeable and entertaining, the drinks were cold and tasty and, it would appear, everyone had a great and memorable time.

November 9 – Our Annual Banquet with James O. Miller and Bob Speers taking turns sharing stories and telling tales about some of the most recognizable and most historic wineries in the area and how the wine industry flourished. We feasted on seafood, veggie pasta and a carving station featuring carved sirloin.
