THE FEAST – Oh how we feasted! The amazing Commodore Buffet did not disappoint. The Sandusky Yacht Club staff really outdiid themselves this year!
House salad, dinner rolls, coffee, hot tea, iced tea, Carved top sirloin, seafood scampi, green beans almandine, roasted redskins, and veggie pasta and bread pudding for dessert.
OUR SPEAKER – Will Cummings, is an Erie County native and the sixth generation of his family in this area. Will has had a life-long interest in early mechanical equipment such as antique engines, cars, trucks, and tractors. He has built a collection of locally-built early engines. Will has researched, authored, and published several articles about engines, cars, and tractors built in the Sandusky area. Will works at NASA’s Armstrong Test Facility (formerly known as Plum Brook Station). He and his wife (Janet) have an adult daughter.

The Early Birds of Aviation This marker is located on West Washington Street in Washington Park, just west of the Boy with the Boot.
Early Aviation – Located near the corner of E Water St. and Meigs St. Weldon B. Cooke, Thomas W. Benoist, Reinhardt N. Ausmus. these men were mentioned in Will’s presentation.
What an amazing history. Who knew we played such an important part in aviation history.
